Wilma Sue Tubbs

Wilma Sue Tubbs, age 69, of Water Valley, MS died peacefully Monday, September 3, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. She was born September 8, 1949 in Pope, MS to the late Hershel and Wilma (Kehoe) Sartin and honored her family by being a homemaker. She had many joys in her life, which included gardening, swimming, fishing, woodworking, crochet, and had a knack for collecting many things including Elvis and Coca-Cola memorabilia. But her family was the main focus and passion of her life.

Visitation is planned for Friday, September 6, 2019 in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. Services will follow at 4:00 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Rick Glidewell officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell.

Wilma is survived by three daughters, Callie Odom (Homer), Becky Griffin, Katherine Newberry, all of Water Valley; four brothers, John Sartin (Sylvia), Carl Sartin (Shirley), Glen Sartin, and Clinton Sartin, all of Batesville, MS; one grand-son, Neil Taylor; two grand-daughters, Cami Taylor and Halla Odom; 2 great- grand-sons, Raiden Taylor and Joseph Taylor, who affectionately called Wilma “Old woman“. Also was her special life mate of nine years, Ricky Taylor.
