Tracy Vaughn Carlisle

Tracy Vaughn Carlisle, age 71, of Oakland, MS died Thursday, December 12, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. He was born April 21, 1948 in Memphis, TN to the late Joe and Jo Ann (Vaughn) Carlisle. Tracy held a number of different jobs during his career, which included being a roughneck on an oil rig. Afterwards, he became a truck driver for United Van Lines, then eventually retiring from Fed-Ex. He enjoyed painting and gardening, but nothing pleased him more than planting and taking pictures of his flower garden and the birds that visited.

Visitation is planned for Saturday, December 14, 2019 in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. Services will follow immediately in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Shane Crawford officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery in Blue Mountain, MS.

Tracy is survived by his wife of 31 years, Lonna Carlisle; three sons, Eric Carlisle (Misty) of Memphis, TN, Mike Patrolia (Cecilia) of Olive Branch, MS, and Kyle Carlisle of Oakland, MS; two daughters, Stacy Wilkerson (Jeff) of Blue Mountain, MS, and Hayley Wilhite of Gainesville, GA; his mother, Jo Ann Carlisle of Meridian; one brother, Charles Carlisle (Skye) of Meridian, MS; one sister, Rita Hugueley (Darrell) of Water Valley, MS; and seven grandchildren.

Tracy was preceded in death by his father.
