Shirley Camp Stone

Shirley Camp Stone, age 80, died peacefully at her home near Water Valley on October 28, 2019 with her family by her side. Shirley was born in the Pine Valley area of Yalobusha County to the late Thomas Leslie Camp and Mittie Carmical Camp and finished high school at Jeff Davis School where she was valedictorian of her class. She married her high school sweetheart, Charles Stone, and worked for Bondafoam, Mechanics Bank, Yalobusha Hospital, serving in various positions as office manager, administrative assistant, and secretary to the bank president. Shirley had three sons who brought her great joy. She and Charles were faithful members of First Christian Church of Water Valley.

Visitation is planned for Friday, November 1, 2019 from 12 Noon until 2:00 PM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home. Services will commence at 2:00 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Jerry Holt officiating. Burial will follow the service in Oak Hill cemetery.

Shirley is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles Stone of Water Valley, MS; three sons, Keith Stone (Jackie) of Conway, AR, Hoyt Stone (Kay) of Water Valley, MS, and Sandy Stone (Tena) of Water Valley, MS; three sisters, Juanita Knight of Moscow, TN, Patsy Wright of Water Valley, MS, and Betty Lou Dorris of Arlington, TN; Eleven grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.
