Sally Pate

Sally Pate, age 85, of Pleasant Grove, AL died Saturday, March 2, 2019 in Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham, AL. She was born December 25, 1933 in Oakland, MS to the late Chester Collins Pate and Ethel Denley Pate.
When Sally was very young, the family moved to Coffeeville where she grew up and finished high school. She attended Mississippi University for Women (then MSCW), then moved to Nashville to work for a short period. Subsequently, she moved to Birmingham and Pleasant Grove, AL, where she worked as an accountant for Strickland Paper Company for over forty years.
Sally loved Pekingese dogs and had a passion for Alabama football, never missing one of their games on TV.

Visitation is planned for Wednesday, March 6, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Coffeeville, MS with services beginning immediately afterward at 2:00 PM with Bro. Craig Baker officiating. Burial will be in Coffeeville City Cemetery.

Sally is survived by one brother, George “Buddy” Pate of Madison, MS and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Along with her parents, Sally was preceded in death by two sisters, Chetty Ayers, and Sue Ellen Arrington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 14749 Depot St. Coffeeville, MS. 38922
