Ronald Clinton "Bubba" Jenkins Jr, age 58, of Banner, MS went to his forever home Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at his home. He was born April 30, 1965, in Oxford, MS to Ronald Jenkins Sr. and the late Patricia (Sartin) Jenkins. Bubba graduated from Bruce High School in 1983. Even before graduating, Bubba worked at the family business in Water Valley learning the trade that would mold his career from his Father Ronald and his Uncle Ottis. Bubba eventually began work at Grisanti Rebel Motors in the service department where he became ASE certified and was appointed shop foreman. He continued his career there for 20 plus years until his health began to fail in the fall 2020.
As a believer, Bubba felt the presence of the Lord early in life, and in 1984 at the age of nineteen, he surrendered to the ministry at Faith Chapel. While working full time as a automotive technician, he began his path in serving the Lord as a pastor starting first at Hopewell Church, then serving at New ElBethel, and finally at Mt. Tabor. Bubba was always willing to share his testimony at any opportunity, trusting that God would work through him for His glory.
Bubba was a loving father and had a desire to be a part of his children's lives whenever he could. He wasn't afraid to sit down at a tea party with Tina when she asked, and to help scout locations for activities with Lee while he was in the Boy Scouts.
When he had the chance to take time for himself, Bubba loved working with his hands creating things around the house to make life a little easier. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors surrounded by God's creation where he hunted, fished, and spent quiet time with his creator.
Visitation is planned for Saturday,July 22, 2023, at Drivers Flat Baptist Church from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. A service honoring his life will take place immediately afterwards with Bro. Billy Foster officiating.
Burial will be in Drivers Flat Cemetery.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 40 years Carlyn Jenkins of Banner, MS; one son, Lee Jenkins; and his father, Ronald Jenkins Sr.
Along with his mother, Bubba was preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Jenkins; and his sister, Deborah Vaughan.
