Robert "Bob" Ward

Robert Ralph Ward, age 80, of Woodstock, GA. died Friday, February 22, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. He was born April 3, 1938 in Water Valley to the late Ralph Ward and Mozelle Martin Ward Tillman and worked, and later retired after 26 years as the Chief for the City of Water Valley Fire Department. He enjoyed golf, yard sales, and anything and everything outdoors. He was also a member of First Baptist Church.

Visitation is planned for Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 12 Noon until 2:00 PM. Services will begin at 2:00 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Bob is survived by his wife of 53 years, “Jackie” Ward of Woodstock, GA; 3 daughters, Tina Sikma (Bill) of Woodstock, GA, Lisa Strawn (Steve) of St. Louis, MO, Michelle Story (Steven) of Water Valley, MS; one son, Kevin Ward of St. Louis, MO; one sister, Betty Lay (Russell) of Little Rock AR; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, Bob was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Ward; and one sister, Virginia Brust.
