Patsy Bell Suratt, age 82, died at her home in Water Valley, MS on December 12, 2019. She was born to the late Edgar Butler Bell and Ila Durham Bell in Water Valley on May 26, 1937. Patsy was gifted with creativity and easily made friends, hosting social gatherings in her home where her yard was filled with beautiful flowers. She was a former president of the Town and Country Garden Club, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a longtime rook club member. Patsy held numerous administrative and management positions throughout the years. For the last twenty years, Patsy was a senior administrator at Larson's Grocery in Water Valley. She was a faithful member of First Christian Church.
Services are planned for 11:00 AM Monday, December 16, 2019 at First Christian Church with Bro. Jerry Holt officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time. The burial will be a private family service in Coffeeville City Cemetery later in the afternoon.
In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur Paul Pittman, Sr.; a daughter, Jennifer Johnette Wild; a son, James Edward Pittman; and a brother, Bobby Bell.
She is survived by a daughter, Cindi Pittman Moreland of New York, New York; a son, Arthur Paul Pittman, Jr. (Robin) of Summerville, SC; four stepsons, John Phillip Suratt, Ricky (Leslie) Suratt, Gary Suratt, and Larry Suratt; six grandchildren, Arthur Paul Pittman, III, Sarah Richard, Caithlin Arnold, Brooke Moreland, Alex Moreland, and Anthony Chance White; and five great grandchildren.
