Patrick Jonathan "John" Dunn

Patrick Jonathan “John” Dunn, age 43, of Pontotoc, MS went to his forever home Friday June 3, 2022, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Pontotoc, MS. He was born May 10, 1979, in Water Valley, MS (the last baby born at Yalobusha Hospital) to Melvin and Mollie (Marlowe) Dunn. Patrick had a huge heart and genuinely loved all that he knew. He went to school in Water Valley and played football for the Blue Devils. In a chance meeting, Patrick met, and later married Rhonda, the love of his life, while visiting his aunt’s house in Houston, MS. Up until he became disabled, John always displayed a tremendous work ethic. He had become a vinyl specialist, and exemplified said characteristic as he started his own business. When he wasn’t working hard, he loved fishing, trot-lining with his dad and cutting grass. But absolutely nothing meant more to him than his family, especially his boys.

Visitation is planned for Tuesday, June 7, 2022, in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM. Services will immediately follow at 2:00 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Mickell Dunn officiating.

Patrick is survived by his wife of twenty-six years, Rhonda Dunn; his parents Melvin and Mollie Dunn of Water Valley, MS; Two sons, Tyler Dunn (Ginger), Jonathan “J.T.” Dunn (Amber) all of Pontotoc, MS; two grandchildren, Caroline “Lizzie” Dunn, Ava-Kate Taylor Dunn; two sisters, Becky Deaton (Wayne) of Olive Branch, MS, and Jennifer Shempert (Chad) of Pontotoc, MS.
