Patricia Dickey Spencer, age 74, of Sardis, MS went to be with Jesus Monday, June 21, 2021, at her home with family by her side. Patricia was born January 28, 1947, in Calhoun County to the late Talmadge and Lennie (Howell) Dickey. Some time after graduating from Bruce High School, Patricia went on to college where she graduated in 1978 with her degree in nursing. She was a nurse at the Yalobusha County Nursing Home, and later went to the North Mississippi Regional Center where she ultimately retired. Until her health began to fail. she was a member of the Hope Church of God in Oakland, and gladly shared her faith on a regular basis. Patricia loved to travel with her husband Clyde, cook, and spend time with her flowers. But nothing compared to the love she had for her family, especially her grands.
Visitation is planned for Sunday, June 27, 2021, in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. Services will begin at 2:00 PM Monday June 28, 2021 in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Raymond Aven officiating. Burial will be in Drivers Flat Cemetery.
Patricia is survived by her husband of seventeen years, Clyde Spencer; three daughters, Kim Spence of Batesville, MS, Joy Rubio of Coldwater, MS, Theresa Yazzie of Aurora, CO; one sister, Charlene Jeans of Horn Lake, MS; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry dickey, Gary Dickey; one sister, Ethylene Hughes; and one grand-daughter, Jarah Spence.
