Patricia Gayle Jenkins

Patricia Gayle Jenkins, age 69, of Olive Branch, MS passed from this life Friday, August 6, 2021with family by her side. She was born July 20, 1952 in Water Valley, MS to the Late Leonard and Georgia (Davis) Jenkins. She worked at, and later retired from, Georgia Pacific as a machine operator for over twenty years. Pat was a free spirit and loved life like no one else. She is described as a “feisty” woman, but even more so was that she was tremendously compassionate. Even though she was never blessed with her own children, she loved and help raise many, including family, who were in need of a loving atmosphere. She and two of her sisters, Brenda and Bobbie, were very close and where know to be a little on the rambunctious side when together. She not only loved loving on people, but she loved her dog “Shaggy”, and later “Baby”. Another of her passions was music.

Visitation is planned for Wednesday, August 11, 2021, in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Services will immediately follow at 3:00 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Eddie Randolph officiating. Burial will be in Pinecrest Cemetery.

Pat is survived by four brothers, James Jenkins (Laura), Jerry Jenkins (Alice) all from Batesville, MS, Larry Jenkins (Ann) from Sardis, MS, Jeff Jenkins (Candy) from Oxford, MS; three sisters, Shirley Varner (Gilbert), Peggy Shepherd, all of Oxford, MS, Bobbie Bowie from Coldwater, MS; and a multitude of nieces and nephews including Stephanie Douglas, Sarah Foster, Zoee Sheffield, Julian Dickey who took care of her until her passing, and a nephew Dillion, who was very special to her.

Along with her parents, Pat was preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Smith.
