Patricia Jean Bynum, aged 76, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 29, 2022 at her home in Water Valley, MS.
She was born on August 7, 1946 to the late, Joseph Newton and Willie Edward Gross. Patricia was known for being a free spirit determined to do the things that brought joy to herself and others. She retired from BorgWarner after more than 30 years of loyal service. Patricia loved to spend her time at the VFW, playing card games, singing karaoke, serving at her church, Sand Hill, and volunteering at Yalobusha General Nursing Home. But nothing meant more to her than spending time with her family, whom she loved dearly.
Patricia is survived by one brother, Joe Curtis (Bobbie) Gross of Courtland, MS; three daughters, Rena (Greg) Calfee of Toccopola, MS, Rita (Shelby) Ladner of New Albany, MS, and Amy (Wesley) Vanlandingham of Coffeeville, MS; one son, Donald (Allison) Raymond Bynum, Jr. of Oxford, MS; fifteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and her special friend, Randal Loyed.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her husband, Donald Raymond Bynum, Sr. and a son, Randall E. Hadorn. She was also predeceased by five brothers, Prentiss Gross, James E. Gross, John Gross, J.W. Gross, and J.L. Gross; one sister, Jeanette Redwine.
A visitation will be held Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM in the Gardiner Room. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 PM in the Henry Chapel with Brennan Allen and Virgil Nelson officiating. Internment will be at Jumper's Chapel Cemetery in Water Valley, MS.
