Michael Henry Dollahite, passed away at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis on February 9, 2024, at the age of 64. Born in Memphis, TN, on February 26, 1959, he was the loving son of the late Albert and Irene Dollahite.
Michael graduated from Water Valley High School and went on to work at Bondafoam before joining the City of Water Valley's sanitation department, where he dedicated 22 years of service. He took great pride in his work and always ensured the cleanliness of the town. Michael's commitment to his job mirrored his dedication to his community.
In his leisure time, Michael found joy in following football and baseball games, cheering for his favorite teams.
Those who knew Michael remember him as someone with a good heart and down-to-earth nature. He never met a stranger. His kindness extended not only to people but also to animals, as he was an ardent animal lover. He loved his cat. He even had a special lunchtime friend known as "Little Buddy" that he would feed crumbs.
Michael is survived by his loving sister, Brenda (Steve) Swearengen; Aunts, Janice Dollahite, and Martha Moore; niece, Heather (Jonathan) Hildebrant; nephew, Zach McCraw; as well as three great nieces and a great nephew who will forever cherish the memories they shared together.
The funeral service honoring Michael's life will be held on February 15, 2024, at 1:00 pm in the Henry Chapel at the Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Prior to the service, a visitation will take place in the Gardiner Room from 11:30 am until service time.
Michael Henry Dollahite will forever be remembered for his friendly and compassionate nature, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to have known him.
