Mary Lynn Bonner

Mary Lynn Bonner, age 71, of Oxford, MS died peacefully Monday, December 23, 2019 at her home surrounded by family. She was born March 16, 1948 in Water Valley to the late Samuel and Valley (Jones) Wilbourn. She attended Delta State where she received a degree in education. Her joys were many, which included flowers, reading, and cooking. But her grandchildren were the greatest joy in her life. She was a member of the Master Gardeners, and attended First Baptist Church in Water Valley.

Visitation is planned for Monday, December 30, 2019 in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Brad Burnett officiating.

Mary is survived by her husband of 52 years, James Bonner; three daughters, Heather Shankle (Mark) of Pontotoc, MS, Melissa Breithaupt (Brian) of Oxford, MS, and Melanie Paige Smith (Daniel) of Brookhaven, MS; two brothers, Albert Wilbourn (Janie) of Starkville, MS, and Billy Wilbourn (Ruth) of Water Valley, MS; as well as ten grandchildren.

As well as her parents, Mary was preceded in death by one brother, Sammy Wilbourn.
