Lynda Frances Gordon, age 79, of Coffeeville, MS died Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. She was born December 18, 1940 in Water Valley to the late Woodrow Donaldson and Edith Etoil Cofer. After leaving school, she and Robert married and began their life long journey together. Lynda began her career at Ben Franklin Five and Dime store and later went to work for Holley Carburetor. In 1997, she and Robert sold everything, bought a camper, and began an adventure traveling all over North America. Lynda enjoyed Crocheting, reading John Grisham novels, and shopping. She and Robert were founding members of Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Water Valley.
Visitation is planned for Saturday, June 20, 2020 in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. Services will follow at 12:00 in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks WITH Bro. Fred Eakes officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Lynda is survived by two sons, Scotty Gordon (Tammy) of Coffeeville MS, Jerry Gordon (Sabrina) of Cleveland GA; 5 Grandchildren, Tina Gordon, Devin Gordon, Jerry Gordon Jr, Steven Gordon, Blake Gordon; 10 Great-grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great Grandchild.
Along with her parents, Lynda was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Robert Gordon, and one grandchild, Tami Breana Gordon.
