Katie Johnsey Williamson, born on August 17, 1950, in Water Valley, MS, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, embracing a full life. Katie's journey began after graduating from Water Valley High where she continued her education at Northwest Community College, earning a degree in cosmetology. Katie then moved to Memphis, TN where her career thrived at Allenberg Cotton Company where she dedicated 42 years before gracefully retiring in 2015.

After her remarkable career, Katie explored different avenues, returning to Water Valley in 2019 and eventually settling in Desoto County in 2023. Her spirit was evident in her love for travel, swimming, playing the piano, and showcasing her exceptional culinary skills. A devoted fan of Ole Miss sports, she enthusiastically followed them wholeheartedly.

Katie's legacy lives on through her sister, Alice Williams; niece, Paige Williams; nephew, Lee Williams; great-niece, Tori Williams Bregar (Sean); as well as numerous cousins, all whom she cherished dearly. In celebration of her life, a Visitation will be held at Seven Oaks Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 2:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at 3:00 pm. With Dr. Randy Bain Officiating.


Katie was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Pearl Johnsey.
