Judy Ann Ballard, age 64, of Water Valley, MS died Thursday, January 2, 2020 at her home in Water Valley. She was born February 15, 1955 in Odessa, TX to the late Hiram and Blonnie (Parker) Peninger, and raised by her Uncle Chester and Aunt Iris Peninger in Attala County. She enjoyed drawing still lifes using a vast array of techniques, including charcoal. But her heart and passion was her family.
Visitation is planned for Monday, January 6, 2019 in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 12 Noon until 2:00 PM. Services will follow at 2:00 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Uncle Jerry Greenlee officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens of Grenada with Aaron Mobley, Nathan Hodges, Benjamin Mobley, Caden Hodges, Daniel Wilson, Robert Greenlee, and Gadge Farmer serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Todd Hodges, Shane Murray, and Chris Farmer.
Judy is survived by three daughters, Melissa Hodges (Todd), Rebecca Farmer (Chris), Brandy Murray (Shane); eleven grandchildren, Mariana Mobley (Patrick), Aaron Mobley (Maddison), Benjamin Mobley, Lydia Mobley, Robert Greenlee, Daniel Wilson, Jayden Murray, Gadge Farmer, Alana Farmer, Nathan Hodges, Caden Hodges; one brother, Gary Peninger; two sisters, Gloria Austin (Steven), Linda Wheeler; and her fiancé’ Carlton Wells.
Along with her parents, Judy was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Peninger; and two sisters, Sandy Robinson, and Mary Lee.
