Josephine Strange, age 83, of Coffeeville, MS died Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. She was born January 15, 1936 in Carroll County, MS to the late Ernest and Opal Gerrish and spent her working career in the manufacturing sector. She was a down to earth, hard working woman who could put up hay as well as anyone. She had many joys, which included sewing and cooking, especially pies and peanut brittle. But her greatest joy was her family. She loved her Lord and Savior, and was a member of Gatewood Church of God in Coffeeville.
Visitation is planned for Monday, December 16, 2019 in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A graveside service will begin at 1:00 PM at the Broad Street Cemetery in Coffeeville with Bro. Freddy Moorman officiating. Pallbearers will be Edward Eubanks, Chad Eubank, Caleb Horton, R.J. Rivera, Mike Thorton, and Brenda Eubanks.
Josephine is survived by, one daughter, Brenda Eubanks of Coffeeville; four grandchildren, Edward Eubanks, Chad Eubanks (Emily), Michelle Horton (Caleb), and Todd Percell (Mallory); as well as seven great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Josephine was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Edward Earl Strange; one son, Steven Strange; one daughter, Jane Percell; two brothers james and Harry Gerrish; and one sister, Myrel McBride.
