Joe Mack Russell

Joe Mack Russell, age 79, of Water Valley, MS died peacefully Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Pine Forest Rehabilitation in Jackson. He was born October 26, 1939 in Panola County to the late Edger and Effie (Buchanan) Russell and worked as a card dealer at the casinos in Tunica. His joys were many, which included playing tennis, riding bikes, watching all Ole Miss sporting events, and drinking coffee at Turnage‘s Drug Store.

Visitation is planned for Tuesday, May 21, 2019 in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM with a memorial service immediately following in the Henry Chapel.

Joe is survived by one son, Warren Russell (Teresa); one daughter, Jan Russell, all of Water Valley; one brother Billy Russell of Panola County; as well as five grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Along with his parents, Joe was preceded in death by seven of his siblings.
