James Edward Strickland

James Edward Strickland, age 79, of Water Valley, Mississippi died July 8, 2022, at his home in Water Valley, MS with family by his side. He was born December 27, 1942, in Calhoun City, MS to the late George Strickland and Clara Goodwin Strickland. James started his working career at Ram Tool in Water Valley, and after many company transitions retired with almost forty years from Borg Warner. James also honorably served his country for twenty years in the Army National Guard. When not working he was a home body and loved being around his family.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Freedom Place Church.

James is survived by his wife, Ruth Strickland of Water Valley; 2 sons, Michael Strickland, Kerry Strickland; two brothers, Charles Strickland, David (Karen) Strickland; five sisters
Shirley Baker, Maxine Rose, Gladys Mitchell, Dorothy (Chuck) Schwinn, and Sandra Melton.

As well as his parents, James was preceded in death by one son, James Strickland; and one brother Eugene Strickland.
