Henry Earl Reeves

Henry Earl Reeves passed away July 30, 2023 peacefully at his home surrounded by family. Henry was born April 19, 1940 to Clarence Sr. and Earl Kay Brewer Reeves. He married Sue Koonce and together they had four children. Henry later married Alice Lee and they spent 32 wonderful years together. Henry worked at Rockwell Industries in Grenada for 35 years as a tool and die technician. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved being outdoors. Henry was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where he loved to fellowship and sing for The Lord.

Visitation is planned for Wednesday, August 02, 2023, in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM. Funeral Service will follow in the Henry Chapel at 2:00 PM with Brothers Billy Foster and Billy Hill officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery with Mickey Reeves, Tony Reeves, Jeff Pickle, Tracy Pickle, Troy Waldo, and Wyomman Reeves Jr. serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Ralston, Larry Holloway, Chet Melton and Jerry Morrow.

Henry is survived by his wife, Alice Lee Reeves; two children, Gordon Simpson (Pam) of Oxford, Tammy Hayles (Butch) of Water Valley; one daughter in law, Tami Reeves of Williston, North Dakota; eight Grandchildren, Hope Ellis (Norm) of Oxford, Bo Simpson (Erin) of Indiana, Drew Simpson of Oxford, William Simpson of Oxford, Robert Earl ‘Bubba’ Reeves Jr (Tami) of Coffeeville, Jeffery Clifton Reeves (Jennifer) of Williston, North Dakota, Blake Hodge (Megan) of Oxford and Emily Marsh (Jesi) of Water Valley; as well as eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Henry is proceeded in death by his first wife Sue Koonce Reeves; one daughter, Dorothy Reeves; one son, Robert Earl Reeves Sr.; one sister, Josephine Waldo; and two brothers, Wyomman Reeves Sr. and Clarence Reeves Jr.
