Hattie Inez Anderson, Age 82, of Tillatoba, MS, went to her eternal home during the early morning hours on December 11, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born February 13, 1940, in Bruce, MS to the late Robert Kendall and Estelle Wortham Nichols. Hattie was a very loving, yet strong willed woman. She loved The Lord and was dedicated to her family and her church, both which she loved to serve in any capacity she could. That love and dedication also spilled over into her willingness to help anyone in the community that needed help. When she found time for herself, Hattie loved sewing, quilting, and traveling to her favorite destinations in the Great Smokey Mountains. But absolutely nothing meant more to her than her family that she adored.
Visitation is planned for Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at New Bethel Holiness Church in Rosebloom, MS from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Services will take place at 1:00 PM Thursday, December 15, 2022, at New Bethel Holiness Church with Rev. James “Bubba” Jones officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in Teasdale, MS.
Hattie is survived by five children, Bill Anderson, Roy (Sherry) Anderson, Anita Smith all of Tillatoba, MS, Richard (Candi) Anderson of Oakland, MS, and Becky Smith of Teasdale, MS; two sisters, Vickie Snyder of Charleston, MS, Diane Stephens of Brazil; three brothers, Carl Kendall of Tillatoba, MS, James (Stump) Nichols of Batesville, MS, Doug Nichols of Coffeeville, MS; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-one great- grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren with one on the way.
As well as her parents, Hattie was preceded in death by her Husband Paul Anderson; one son, Roger Anderson; two grandchildren, Roy Anderson, JR and Lawanda Anderson Ray; two Sons-in-law, Harry Smith and Ronald Smith; seven brothers; and four sisters.
