Bobby Wayne Dye, age 79 of Coffeeville, MS passed February 20, 2022 at Baptist Memorial in Oxford, MS. He was born March 31, 1942 in Clarksdale, MS to the late Willie Ray and Ida Dye.
He retired from US Postal Service and National Guard after 25 plus years of service. Bobby is known to many for his love of antique cars, which included complete remodels and showcasing them at car shows around the US. He won countless awards and trophies at these events where he made many life long friends.
If someone were to ask what else Bobby loved other than Ms. Nadene and his cars, just about everyone would automatically say crappie fishing. In his time he hosted many friends and family at his house and take them to his favorite honey-holes and show them how it was done.
He will be missed and remembered. Until we see you again, we love you always.
Visitation is planned for Wednesday, February 23, 2022, in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Services will immediately follow at 2:00 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks. Burial will be in Coffeeville City Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Nadene Webster Dye; five children, Tami Dye of Coffeeville, Kelly Hughes (Noel) of Coffeeville, Keith Dye (Kelly) of Cleveland, Kevin Dye (Tracy) of Scobey, Alisha Harlow (Will) of Holcomb; ten grandchildren, Candace, Ryan, Drew, Blake, Dale, Martin, Hunter, Carlie, Cade, Lila; twelve great-grandchildren; and two sisters Beverly Durastanti and Susan Haney.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents Willie Ray and Ida Dye; two brothers BB Dye, Gary Dye; and one sister sister Ruth Mitchell.
