Billy Thomas Johnson

Billy Thomas Johnson, age 83, of Huntsville, AL died Friday, January 8, 2021, at his home with family by his side. He was born December 21, 1937, to the late Fate and Gertie (Shepard) Lawrence. Up until his retirement, Billy delivered propane gas. His favorite thing to do, when he wasn‘t working, was to travel back home to Mississippi to visit friends and family.

Visitation is planned for Sunday, January 10, 2021, in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Services will follow at 3:00 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Jimmy Vance officiating. Burial will be in Browning Cemetery in Lafayette County.

Billy is survived by one son, Dewayne Johnson of Starkville, MS; one daughter, Sharon Clark (Randall) of Huntsville, AL; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Margie Darby of Water Valley, MS.

Along with his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Emma Tatum Johnson.
