Benny F. Ard

Benjamin Franklin Ard, age 71, of Sardis, MS died Sunday, May 13, 2019 at his home with family near by. He was born May 15, 1947 in Marks, MS to the late John and Ollie (Cox) Ard and worked his entire career in the tool and die trade. After retirement he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Benny was an easy going kind of guy with an infectious smile and wit.

A grave side service will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2019 at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS with Bro. Eddie Randolph officiating.

Benny is survived by one son, Franklin Ard (Julie) of Batesville, MS; three sisters, Brenda Coomer of Pontotoc, MS, Linda Williams of Enid, MS, Ollie Garner of Florence, MS; one grandson, Kyle Ard; and three step-sons, Michael Howell, Marlend Howell, and Mark Howell.

Along with his parents, Benny was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ard; five sisters, Shirley Brown, Shelby Pitcock, Virginia Ridgeway, Mary Crocker, Hazel Williams; and four brothers, Richard Ard, J.W. Ard, William Ard, and John Charles Ard.
