Annette Womble Still

Annette Womble Still of Water Valley, Mississippi, peacefully passed away at Yalobusha General Nursing Home on the evening of April 23, 2025. Born January 8th, 1950, in Water Valley, MS, she was the daughter of the late Henry Womble and Elnor Johnson Womble. Later in life, she married Edward "Bud" Still, with whom she enjoyed spontaneous road trips, even if they were just a few hours away. A devoted servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, Annette expressed her faith through song and praise in numerous ways. She and Jan performed in an a cappella choir at Ole Miss and continued their vocal ministry for as long as they could. Additionally, she was an active member of the choir at Bethel Baptist Church in Water Valley, where she worshiped for many years. Deeply caring for her church family, she was known for her generosity, often giving without seeking recognition or reward. Annette treated everyone with equal love and compassion, disregarding social status.

For twenty-five years, Annette, alongside Jan, dedicated her life to educating students at Northwest Community College. She was an avid sports enthusiast and greatly admired the Manning family and their athletic accomplishments. Annette also had a special affection for animals, particularly her dogs and her beloved pet cat, Wally, whom she rescued from Walmart.

Annette is survived two sisters, Jan Womble and Patricia Oliphant; two nephews Jay and Scott Oliphant; and a host of family, church family, and friends.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her Husband Edward "Bud" Still and her sister Fran Womble.

A funeral service is planned for Saturday, April 26, 2025 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home at 10:30am with Bro. Anthony Williams officiating. Burial will follow at the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. There will be no visitation period before the service.
