Alberta Genieve Rhyne

Alberta Genieve Rhyne, age 84, of Water Valley, MS died peacefully Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at Yalobusha County Nursing Home. She was born July 30, 1935 in Walsenburg Colorado to the late Jake and Gertrude (Ornelas) Sandoval. She enjoyed fishing, bingo and shopping. But her love for family was her passion. Alberta spent the majority of her working career as a seamstress in the garment industry. She was also a member of First Baptist Church .

A graveside service is planned for 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley with Bro. Freddy Moorman officiating.

Alberta is survived by two Sons, Johnny Moya (Norma), David Moya; two daughters, Marie York (Don), Mary Jane Hart (Craig); seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Izzo (Tommy) and Virginia Huertha (Bono).

Along with her parents, Alberta was preceded in death by three brothers, Jake Sandoval Jr, Mike Sandoval, and Ceicil Sandoval.
