Carolyn Peacock

Carolyn Jo Peacock, age 85 of Water Valley, MS died Sunday, March 22, 2020 at her home in Water Valley. She was born September 22, 1934 in Water Valley, MS to the late Clay and Carlene (Westmoreland) Taylor. “Jo” as those who knew her, attended the University of Mississippi and received a Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition. She also taught science for a number of years. Jo was a former Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church in Water Valley, where she was a member. She was described by her family as a “tomboy” because of her ability to climb trees when she was young.

A private family gathering will be held Friday March 27, 2020 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home. A memorial service to honor her memory will take place after the current national crisis has passed.

Jo is survived by her husband of sixty years, Jimmy Peacock of Water Valley, MS; and one son, Jonathan Peacock of Memphis, TN.

Along with her parents, Jo was preceded in death by one son, James Clayton Peacock.
